How Qubicles Run the Network Smoothly

The native currency in the Qubicles network is called Qubicles (pronounced ‘Cubicles’) and the symbol of Qubicle is QBE (pronounced ‘Cube’). If you’d like a quick read on how we came up with the name Qubicles and its Qubicle token, please check out this post.

Currency is not a popular term in the crypto-domain, however. People love to call it coins or tokens. While they use it interchangeably, there is a technical difference between a coin and a token. Technically speaking, Qubicles is a token and not a coin. That being said, let us explain how the QBE moves inside the network and consequently, how and why the QBE is expected to increase in value over time.

But before that, let us explain why would we even need a native token. Think, what if in the USA, instead of everyone using solely USD for good and services, we use all the currencies in the world: Euro, Yen, Rupee, Peso, Rial etc. Do you realize how difficult it will be to seamlessly transact and the confusion it will create? The same will happen if we allow users to utilize other cryptocurrencies within the PodOne network. As a result, Qubicles will be used to maintain uniformity in the network, just as USD maintains it within the USA.

Which tasks within the network would actually require the exchange of Qubicles? Here is a list:

To post ‘vacancies’: Qubicles network is the peer to peer interface for trained contact center employees and people who need such resources. While employees can create profiles which potential employers can check, employers need to post a job description and requirements for potential applicants to apply. Posting a job requirement requires QBE and a small network fee will be charged for the upkeep of the platform.

To pay hired hands: The most primary need behind creating Qubicles is for hiring trained contact center workers. The rates of these agents are decided in QBE, calculated in QBE and paid in QBE as well. Similarly, for the hired worker, they are to post their rates in QBE and receive payments in QBE.

To get certified: Qubicles University is the integrated learning center inside the network (which we have already explained in this post). Course fees will be decided in Qubicles, requiring students or learners to pay only using this token.

To offer courses: Being a truly decentralized platform, we keep even the knowledge sharing peer to peer. This means anyone can design a course and start offering the course to others on the network for a small transaction fee. The charges for offering a course via Qubicles University is payable in QBE.

In addition to these transactions, there are other activities available that does not involve network usage fees. The activities mentioned below are free to transact on the Qubicles network:

  • Creating employer profiles
  • Creating job seeker profiles
  • Applying for jobs
  • Accessing profiles and certificates
  • Taking courses (except for the course creator’s fee)

There will be a fixed supply of 100,000,000 Qubicles which will never increase once issued. For users of the network to post a job, hire someone, create a course or take up a course, they will need Qubicles. However, as future Qubicles are not available from the company or the market (apart from the exchanges if someone is willing to sell), non token holders will be forced to place bids on exchanges to acquire tokens. This translates into early adopters easily being able to sell their tokens at a much higher price if they so choose.
